I showed kaz one picture and he got exactly the idea.He did such a great job and I’m really happy about how it turned out.Almost 5 years after moving to the Bay Area, I think I finally found my go-to place for a haircut.Now I’m wondering why I didn’t come here sooner.

Kaz is great – professional,good aesthetic taste, and polite. I gave him flexibility to design the haircut, and he did a satisfying job. It was a pleasant experience.

Got my hair cut by Kazu and loved it!! I wanted bangs and they’re always a hit or miss, and this was definitely a hit. He checked in widh me throughout the process to make sure I was comfortable and liked the cut. I would definitely come back again!!

I went in for a hair cut and ombre’. Kaz was fantastic! I love the hair cut he game me. The first time I went in, the dye was not quite as light as I wanted, but Kaz was very quick to fix it up the next day. Loved the experience, quality of service, and outcome!

Kaz did magic on my hair!! He really knows how to go girls haircut and also chose a great color for my dark black hair. I love my new hair color and hair style so much. Really lit my day up! Ibased in SF but definitely think Kaz’s patience and technique worths an hour’s drive lol Will certainly come back. Thank you Kaz!!

It was my first time at Aruka’s Salon. I scheduled a haircut width Kaz at 9AM. He was very friendly and took his time to see what kind of style I was going for. I appreciate how Kaz kept checking in with the length of my hair throughout the appointment and asked how I was doing. Despite being so focused on the details of my haircut, we still had a good conversation! I asked for layers with curtain bangs and am satisfied with the result. Thank you again Kaz! 🙂

A lot of people have already mentioned how amazing Kaz is but I’m going to to do it anyways. Location is great, easy parking and there’s happy lemon next door～ I researched before hand and saw many good reviews for the other stylists here but booked with Kaz as my stylist since he was recommended by a friend. He was so sweet and patiend. He checks in width you throughout the haircut to make sure the length and styling is okay so you can adjust as you go. He knows how to frame different face shapes as well. before I went in I had a general idea of what I wanted but I discussed with him what would be best with my face shape and I was not disappointed. The styling came width a hair wash and head massage, you get a blanket and lap pillow as well so that was exciting. When I saw the final result of the hair cut/style, I felt so pretty! my hair was also very soft and smelled nice because of the wash and hair oil.

tldr; Highly recommend this place! Kaz is great! Your hair will smell nice.

Booked back-to-back appointments for me and my daughter. We had Kaz for the first time. He was very friendly(yes, kids friendly too!), and the whole process was so comfortable and professional. He was very attentive to detail. He did an amazing job taming my daughter’s coarce hair, and making it much smoother and softer. For me, I didn’t really have a specific hairstyle in mind, but he did the magic – it is incredibly easy to manage my hair now, and I absolutely love the natural volume it has. Highly recommended!!

I’ve been going to this salon for years. Kaz is professional and gentle, and I’m satisfied with the results. It’s a bit pricey, though. The only downside is that regardless of my requests, I’ve noticed that his cuts and styling often look quite similar, as if he follows a routine or template.

Had the best experience with Kaz. I looked on yelp for some place to try then I had awesome experience in this salon.
I’ve never felt so happy after a haircut since I’ve moved Bay Area. I feel glowing can’t stop looking at myself in the mirror.
I had my hair cut and dyed, Kaz did a really good job, very well understanding and friendly.

I have come here for a few years and my stylist now is Kaz! He is always super kind and caring throughout the whole appointment while I was getting a haircut to see if everything from temperature of the water to heat of the hair dryer to make sure I am comfortable. During the cut he will check in for reference photos for what I want and will make his own recommendations if he sees fit.After my appointment he will always let me know I can text him any time if I have questions about styling or any concerns. They really take their time and care about their customers here! I will always keep coming back～
